With deepest sadness we announce the passing of Norman Prior Nodwell on August 30, 2022. Norman was born in Biggar on November 11, 1966. Willa and Norman were very surprised and pleased to welcome a boy as there was only one boy out of nine Nodwell grandchildren. The pattern seemed to change as the families happily welcomed boys. Norman was the older brother to Howard and Trevor. The Nodwell household was busy with three active boys as they enjoyed horseback riding and trail rides, motorcycles, cubs, scouts and piano lessons. Norman was a late starter in hockey but certainly enjoyed his hockey days. He was very proud when the Bantams won the provincial championship and enjoyed his recreational hockey days with the TAZ Devils. His dad always enjoyed as many of these games as possible. Norman enjoyed animals and through the years had many dogs, pigs, cattle, bison, rabbits and cats. Many of his animals were rescue animals.Norman enjoyed cooking and cooking shows and cooked many special meals for his family.
Lately, football games on television were Norman’s weekend entertainment. He often talked aboutr the fun when a group of friends went to games in Regina in “Norm’s Fun Bus”. I can only imagine the singing that went on as he seemed able to TRY most songs. Norman was happy spending time with Keaton, Emily and Hanna and showing them different parts of ranching. They all enjoyed bottle feeding calves, branding and even checking pastures.Norman was a gentle soul with a keen sense of humor and enjoyed quiet times around a campfire with his family discussing the garden and daily activities.
Norman was predeceased by his father Norman Howard Nodwell, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Norman will be forever remembered by hgis mother Willa, brothers Howard, Warman, Trevor(Angie) Biggar, nephew Keaton, Warman and nieces Emily(Rene) Toronto and Hanna, Saskatoon. He will also be remembered by his aunts, Vera McNeil, Biggar and Dody Rieva Loeb, Toronto.
A “Celebration of Life” for Norman Prior and his dad Norman Howard will be held in November
