Gordon Leslie Tebb
Gordon was born on May 20, 1941 in a small wooden farm house near Naseby, Saskatchewan. He was the middle child of Stan and Ann Tebb. Gordie had 4 sisters; Shirley, Eileen, Bev, and Karen.
He attended Naseby and Oban schools and completed his grade 8 education. While in school and for years to come, he enjoyed playing baseball and broomball. Gordie also loved fishing and hunting which began at a very young age and lasted a lifetime! This passion he shared with family and friends.
After grade 8, Gordie continued his farming alongside his parents. In 1965 he married the love of his life, Lorraine Kirilenko and together they settled on the farm. Here they purchased their first home and Gordie put his exceptional buildings skills to work adding on 2 additions to their home as the family grew. To his kids, it seemed he was capable of building the world with only a hammer and nails!!
Here they raised their 3 children, Lori-Ann, Jiles, and Stacey. At a very young age the kids joined Gordon and Lorraine in all the farming adventures. He shared with them his love of the land, and his pride in raising his cattle. They loved it as much as their DAD!! And for years to come they treasured their time and future visits to the farm.
As time passed and their kids grew, Lori-Ann began her hair dressing career, Jiles and Sarah continued on the family farm, and Stacey and Brandi began their Trucking Company, all with the support of their parents.
Over the years, he looked forward to trips to the casino and making weekly, if not daily trips to Timmie’s these trips will be missed dearly by Lorraine.
Along came the grandchildren, who always brought smiles to Gordie’s face and were his pride and joy. He travelled near and far to watch the kids enjoy their activities. He was always happy to come over for a family gathering or supper.
Another past time he shared with his grandkids was his love and skill for playing cards. He was always up for traditional game of Old Maid or Go Fish and was willing to learn any new game that his grandkids were excited to teach him.
Gordie was a farmer, friend and family man. He passed away in the comfort of his home, where he loved to be, on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022. His memories will be treasured and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
