Cora Eileen Gamble (nee Goodfellow)
December 15, 1924
Cora Gamble peacefully passed away September 19, 2021 at Biggar Long-term Care in Biggar, SK.
She was predeceased by her husband David Johnston Gamble in 1987.
Cora was the proud mother of three children – Wayne (Sherry), Brian (Shannon Storey), and Diane; the loving grandmother of five – Justin (Chantelle) Gamble, Ashley (Don Clark), Adam Gamble, Dominic Gamble, Lia Storey-Gamble (Tyler Buffalo) and also great grandchildren Dagen, Kierstyn, Makenna Gamble, Holden and Tatum Clark.
She is also survived by sisters Winnie (Ken) Elliot, and Olive Goodfellow, brothers-in-law Ed Mireau, Harry Stables, sister-in-law Shirley Gamble and many nieces and nephews.

Cora was born in Carruthers, SK, the fourth of nine children and the third of eight girls.
While teaching south of Perdue at Wyatt School, she met her husband Johnston. They married in 1948 and moved to the Gamble family farm. There she became an active member of the Feudal community and a good friend and neighbor to all. She continued her community involvement when she moved to Perdue in 1983. In each setting she strove to make her community a more vibrant and welcoming place.

She was active in the United Church, the UCW and as a CGIT leader. She was a member of the Perdue Agricultural Society and keen competitor in the Perdue Fair, where she won many prizes with her baking, canning, produce and flowers. She was a supporter of the CCF/NDP and the NFU, the Perdue Complex, the Saskatoon Community Clinic, and the Perdue New Horizons. She baked the best buns and pies, crocheted, sewed, knitted, quilted, refinished furniture and created beautiful gardens wherever she lived. She left the world a kinder, fairer and more beautiful place.

The family sincerely thanks the staff at Biggar Long Term Care and staff at Sunshine Care home for the wonderful care given to Cora during the last three years of her life.
