Anne Lillian Marien (nee Sarvas) of Saskatoon, SK passed away April 15, 2023 after a short illness. She was predeceased by two sons, Dale Robert on January 25, 1958 and Wayne Peter on July 5, 1975 and her husband of 56 years Joseph on July 12, 2003.
Anne is survived by her son Paul (Ilona), grandsons Devon (Heather) and Ryan of Calgary AB, and granddaughter Jordanna of Saskatoon; son John of Grand Forks, BC; son Murray (Judy), grandsons Todd (Jessica), Jason (Amanda), Tyler and Kyle all of Saskatoon; son Michael (Beth) of Flowery Branch, GA, grandchildren Amy (Sean) of Augusta, GA, and Michael of Gainsville, GA; son David (Jeanne), grandchildren Joshua, Letitia and Nyle, all of Chilliwack, BC.  Anne had one daughter Jo-Anne, and granddaughter Vanessa, all of Greenwood, BC. Anne also is survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Anne was born July 13, 1927 in Biggar, Saskatchewan. She was given the name Anne Lillian, the third of John and Pauline’s eight children. She grew up in the Cochery area west of Biggar. She married Joseph Ambrose Roland Marien after he returned from the war in 1946 and they made their home on Joseph’s father’s homestead near where she grew up. In 1972 they moved to Saskatoon and later retired in Grand Forks, BC.
Anne will be interred with a family and friends celebration of life at the Cochery Cemetery in early summer. Memorial donations in memory of Anne can be made to the charity of your choice.
