Well we have almost made it through another winter in Biggar. This year saw a few challenges when it comes to snow removal. As we all know with the changing of main street snow removal from downtown has been a little different.
I hear the many comments, good and bad, about the changes on main street and I am amazed that there are still lingering comments on how things are so bad.
Personally I think that there was a really good effort on behalf of the town for their efforts on removing snow, not just down town but with the whole town in general.
Biggar still has one of the best snow clearing efforts in Saskatchewan.
Have we become so used to the great snow clearing that we have become a little spoiled?
On the topic of revitalization, now that we are on the finishing touches of main street, I would like to bring your attention to the CN property and the proposed plans for a multi-use area.
I have seen the plans and I can tell you that this area will become a focal point for our community. For all citizens of Biggar it is worth your while to be informed and to attend the upcoming public open house on April 6th at the Biggar Community Hall.
The Town of Biggar needs your input!!!
I recently have heard some comments on how some people of our community don’t think that their voice means anything, well I can tell you that all voices in our community matters, if you choose to speak up.
There is not much good that can come out of saying negative comments after the fact.
Be heard and come to the next Open House and voice your opinions.
